About Jemma
There is so much pressure within the education system - particularly for those who are struggling, and I believe this takes away any enjoyment of learning. I want to give students that little bit extra confidence in the classroom, and be the person they can turn to when they do not understand (especially if they feel like that is not something they can do in a classroom setting.) I am not a school teacher, I am just a passionate English graduate and hopefully someone my students can relate to and learn from in a way that is not at all daunting or intimidating.

With typical sessions being around one hour long, I let the students take the lead in terms of what it is that they wish to focus on week by week. If they are working on a particular piece, studying for a specific exam, or generally are trying to improve, each session is structured and tailored bespoke to their needs and requirements with specific goals in mind. I have a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in English and in my day-to-day career am expected to be creating professional copy. I have tutored over 10 students historically in GCSE and A Level English, as well as KS2 Maths and as a part of the Teach English as a Language Programme for Refugees, so I can tailor my lessons to all ages and levels.
