About Erica

I am a licensed ESL teacher working in the public school system. I have been teaching ESL for 4 years. I have worked in the school system for 11 years before teaching as an instructional assistant. With fifteen years of experience, I have had many opportunities to structure, develop, plan and build instructional opportunities for the students that I have worked with. Each student deserves the opportunity to learn and grow with the most engaging and asset-based learning opportunities available.

About the lesson

My lessons are constructed based upon WIDA 2020 standards and assert based learning teaching methods. Student learning and assessments are tailored to each student’s Proficiency level as well as developmental language needs. Lessons are thoughtfully planned to develop English proficiency and engage students to grow linguistically and academically.
