About Amor

My personal approach to private tutoring stems from over 14 years of dedicated experience running a multicultural early-years nursery in Dubai, where I had the privilege of guiding young learners aged one to four from Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arab, Indian, and European families. Every child arrives with a unique cultural background, home language, and developmental pace, which is why I design a stress-free environment tailored to their individual temperament, motor skills, early literacy, and numeracy needs. Drawing on my specialized training in Special Education, I excel at adapting my methods to ease separation anxiety, manage behavioral milestones with patience, and fully include children with additional learning needs. My goal in every session is to balance structured learning with creative play, building a secure, hygienic, and highly engaging space where your child feels safe to explore and grow.
I teach because I am deeply passionate about witnessing the magical moments of early discovery—seeing a child master a new skill, overcome an anxious boundary, or confidently express themselves across cultural lines. For me, education goes beyond standard instruction; it is about building deep trust with both the child and their family through open, sensitive daily communication. Having managed entire nursery operations, designed major children’s event calendars, and even utilized intermediate Japanese to comfort and settle young Japanese students, I know how foundational these early years are. I pour my heart into tutoring because I genuinely love giving children the precise emotional and academic tools they need to unlock their potential and build lifelong confidence.

My personal approach to private tutoring shifts the focus from rigid, standardized lesson plans to your child’s unique psychological, emotional, and academic needs. I begin our partnership with a careful, stress-free diagnosis during our first session to uncover foundational skill gaps, behavioral blocks, or test anxiety, while identifying whether they learn best through visual, auditory, or hands-on methods. By building a strong relational foundation through informal check-ins and giving them choices over their learning path, I actively lower academic anxiety and foster a resilient growth mindset. I dynamically adjust our session pacing—using structured breaks and tailored teaching tools—to perfectly match your child's natural attention span, ensuring they stay highly engaged without ever feeling overwhelmed.
Ultimately, my goal is to build a completely independent learner by coaching essential executive functioning and study skills alongside the core curriculum. Instead of simply supplying answers, I use reflective, open-ended questioning to guide your child through their own problem-solving processes, teaching them how to catch and correct their own mistakes. We will set clear, collaborative milestones together so they feel a true sense of ownership over their progress, backed by bite-sized, highly targeted practice between our sessions to reinforce retention. This holistic blend of genuine emotional support, tailored lesson delivery, and self-assessment training transforms our time together from standard homework help into a powerful toolkit for lifelong academic confidence.
