About Catherine
Hello! My name is Catherine, and I am a passionate and dedicated educator with a wealth of experience and a deep love for teaching. I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) degree from a prestigious drama school, a PGCE in English with Drama from UCL’s renowned Institute of Education, and I completed the rigorous International Baccalaureate myself.
For three years, I taught Drama in a secondary school, where I developed and delivered a diverse range of schemes of work, fostering creativity and confidence in my students. I have a strong grasp of key drama practitioners and their methods, which I integrate into my teaching to make lessons dynamic, engaging, and tailored to individual needs.
Whether it's mastering exam techniques, building acting skills, or developing a deeper appreciation for theatre, my goal is to empower students to achieve their full potential with confidence. I believe that learning should be inspiring and supportive, and I take great pride in helping students grow both academically and personally. I look forward to supporting your educational journey!

With three years of experience as an English and Drama teacher, I specialise in the GCSE EDUQAS Drama specification, offering tailored tutoring sessions designed to help students excel.
My approach begins with understanding your current knowledge and building upon it through scaffolded activities that prepare you for exam-style questions. I provide clear essay structures, focus on effective retrieval techniques to enhance long-term memory, and stretch high-achieving students with advanced tasks and questioning.
Lessons are typically one hour but can be extended for exam preparation. I hold a PGCE in English with Drama from UCL’s Institute of Education and have successfully run intervention sessions, helping students surpass their predicted grades.
My tutoring is ideal for KS4 students preparing for GCSEs, but I also work with younger learners to build acting confidence and older students preparing for A-levels, IB exams, or monologues for LAMDA or National Youth Theatre auditions.
