About Nursema

I’m a dedicated math tutor with over 6 years of experience helping secondary school students build confidence and succeed in their math studies. My approach focuses on understanding, not just memorization. I believe that every student can improve with the right support, and I work closely with each one to ensure they grasp the concepts and feel confident in their abilities. In my lessons, I start by breaking down complex problems into smaller, more manageable steps, guiding students through the process. I often use visual aids like diagrams, graphs, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts more tangible. For students preparing for exams like IB, SAT, and A-Level, I incorporate exam-style questions to help them get familiar with the test format and practice time management. I also encourage active learning by asking students to explain concepts back to me in their own words, ensuring they’ve truly understood. Throughout the lesson, I emphasize problem-solving techniques that students can apply independently when they encounter similar problems in the future. If you're looking for a tutor who will take the time to truly understand your needs and help you grow, I’d love to work with you.

As a tutor, I primarily work with secondary school students and focus on a student-centered approach that emphasizes understanding the material rather than rote memorization. My teaching methods are flexible and tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I incorporate a variety of techniques such as problem-solving exercises, interactive discussions, and practical applications to make concepts clear and engaging. In a typical lesson, I begin by assessing the student’s strengths and areas of improvement. I break down complex problems into manageable steps, using visual aids, diagrams, and real-life examples.
