I am Amy Newman, a graduate from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Coached a young performer who went on to play Simba in Lion King West End, and another in MJ: the musical playing Micheal Jackson. Also trained in musical theatre & voice.

My aim for our lessons is to ensure that each student is fully prepared to excel in their auditions. Through my training, I've gained valuable insights into what drama schools seek and what they expect from auditioning candidates. I bring a wealth of experience in various techniques across acting, voice, and movement. I aspire to give students a genuine glimpse into the life of an actor in training. For those who are more experienced, I will focus on script analysis, accent work, and guidance on applying for roles in the industry.

Perfect! Amy has recently started tutoring my two primary school children in drama, and even in these early stages she has been fantastic. As naturally shy kids, we were really hoping to build their confidence and develop their performing skills, and she’s already making a noticeable difference.
She is warm, engaging, and incredibly creative in her approach. Each session is fun, thoughtfully tailored, and keeps the children fully involved. They’ve quickly grown to enjoy working with her, which is lovely to see.
It’s been great watching them begin to come out of their shells, and we’re really looking forward to seeing their progress continue. We’re so pleased to have found her — highly recommended.Perfect! overall amy has been an excellent teacher and im learning alot.
