Just because you don't understand it now, doesn't mean you won't ever be able to. I was a student same as you, and I struggled with school until college where I was taught that there's not just one way to teach and one way to learn. I do my best to make the learning experience easier, if one way doesn't work then we can take a step back and try different ways. I align my teaching style based on the student's need and how they learn the best. Because I am certified in Special Education, I am also able to help out in many of the other subjects as well, not just English.
