About Fati

“Hello! My name is Fatima, and I’m truly passionate about teaching because of the incredible impact education has on both individuals and communities. Growing up, I was inspired by teachers who not only shared knowledge but also cared about my growth and development. They sparked my curiosity and made learning a positive experience, and I want to offer that same experience to my own students.

I’m drawn to teaching because I believe in the power of knowledge to transform lives. Teaching allows me to blend my love for [English] with the chance to help students find their voice, express themselves, and develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime. I love the creativity teaching brings—whether it’s finding new ways to explain a concept or engaging students through interactive activities. I also love learning from my students, as they bring fresh perspectives and ideas that make each lesson unique.

My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their best. Watching them grow and succeed, seeing their confidence build over time—these are the moments that make teaching so rewarding for me.

About the lesson

Teaching English can involve everything from helping students with grammar and vocabulary to building their confidence in speaking and writing.

1. Incorporate Storytelling: Many students respond well to storytelling, as it makes learning English feel more meaningful. Stories allow them to see grammar and vocabulary in context and understand cultural nuances.
2. Use Real-Life Contexts: Practicing English through role-plays, dialogues, or discussing real-life topics helps students see the language’s relevance. For example, discussing travel, hobbies, or daily routines can make learning feel more practical.
3. Mix Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing Activities: A balanced mix keeps lessons dynamic. You could include listening exercises with podcasts or videos, reading comprehension with short articles, and writing assignments based on their interests.
4. Encourage Creativity: Writing stories, poems, or even journal entries can make language practice enjoyable. It also helps students personalise their learning experience, which can deepen their connection to the material.
