Hello! My name is Patrick Joy, and I’m a passionate English tutor with a degree from the University of Port Harcourt. I specialise in teaching children aged 8 to 11 (Key Stage 2), helping them build a strong foundation in English through engaging, personalised online lessons. About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring I create a supportive and engaging learning environment where children feel confident and motivated to improve their English skills. My lessons are tailored to each child’s pace and learning style, with a strong focus on building their understanding of grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing. I use a variety of interactive techniques such as guided reading, games, storytelling, and practical exercises to keep students involved and focused. Each lesson includes a mix of explanation, examples, student practice, and gentle correction to ensure understanding. Lesson Format & Duration Lessons typically last 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the child’s attention span and learning goals. I keep the sessions interactive and break them into smaller activities to maintain interest and energy throughout. Qualifications & Experience I am a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, with teaching experience and a strong background in English instruction for children aged 8 to 11. I have worked with students of different levels, helping them build confidence in both spoken and written English.
