About Mateo
I have had over half of my schooling in English, while maintaining daily interaction and use of the Spanish language. I have firsthand experience with the transferring of a language onto what is otherwise unknown, and more importantly with how overwhelming it can all be.
I know what it is like to have an accent and navigate it through new words.

As someone who moved to the United States from a Spanish-speaking country I know exactly what it is like to have to learn the language, especially at a young age.
I believe a focus in vocabulary during conversation is the most efficient way to develop proficiency.
My lesson plan specializes in feeling comfortable and confident with speaking and listening, which in turn gives way to the ability to analyze grammar from conversation, including one's own experience and growth through said conversation.
The lesson plan is interactive and thrives on collective communication and practice, to help develop a strong level of comfort with what may for the most part feel unfamiliar.
I am open to helping and teaching students and learners of ages 6+
