I like to take a student centered approach to teaching. I have come to learn that students learn best not when they are being lectured, but when they interact with information through collaboration and inquiry. My goal is to guide my students toward independent thinking and allow them to form their own connections.
I am a graduate student on the road to becoming a history teacher. I studied history and art for my Undergrad and I have extensive experience tutoring and building connections with students at my Church's Youth Group and a non-profit organization called Pomona Hope. I am passionate about history and building relationships with children. It energizes me to see kids light up and become curious about history and art.
I charge $15 an hour regardless of the grade level. No traveling fee.
