About Emily
I am a published writer. I have run my own free workshop on improving creative and critical writing. I've led discussions in groups ranging from 5-15 individuals. I also have 1-on-1 experience helping students improve their reading and writing skills. Students that I've taught have published their poems/stories in literary magazines and received high grades in their essays.

My approach to tutor is Socratic. I have learned most and feel that my students have learned most by asking questions that will direct one in the appropriate direction. Using this method, students develop and refine their critical thinking skills on their one as opposed to having information fed to them.
