About Adeline

I was born at Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 2006 and was raised in the U.S. for 10 years of my life. The love of the outdoors from crawling inside a giant redwood in the California Redwood Forest, travelled with me when I moved to Germany with my family and hiked in the Schwarzwald (Black Forest), and then again when I hiked 12km to the summit of Kjerag in Norway and stood on Kjeragbolten, a rock wedged between two cliffs 3,156 feet above the fjord. In addition to my athletic pursuits, I also enjoy expressing myself through various forms of art, particularly in the styles of aestheticism, expressionism, and art nouveau, as well as photography and stage/screen acting. My language skills have allowed me to become a cultural ambassador for Culture Day at NATO JWC in Stavanger. I was selected by the faculty to be a student ambassador to represent the IB programme for rising eleventh graders and at the IB Open Day. I placed third in the finals for English (C1-C2 level) in the International Language Competition Norge (ILC Norway), and I participated in the ESU International Public Speaking Competition (IPSC) in English. I applied for St Olav videregående’s ERASMUS+ programme and was among 10 students selected to take part in an exchange programme with schools from Poland, Scotland, Finland and Italy. I found that participating in this programme provided valuable skills in cross-cultural communication, collaboration, and adaptability in a digital environment. My goal as a tutor is to help others to reach their linguistic goals to open doors to the opportunities they wish to have.

About the lesson

One-on-one sessions with a native English speaker to reach your personal goals with the language. This tutor has experience learning foreign languages including French, German, and Norwegian, and therefore has an acute understanding of how to assess fluency level and linguistic background to build your future classes. Class timing and length can be flexible to suit your needs and schedule.
