About Priyanka

Hi there, I am excited to get to know you! Here is a little bit about me: I am a graduate from UC Berkeley where I studied public health from both a medical and sociological perspective. My activities in college prepared me to enact social change in our communities and I am particularly driven to support young peoples' education. I have extensive experience tutoring children of all ages and I am excited to teach English, essay writing, biology, and more with Superprof. I am committed to ensuring that my students not only master academic skills and concepts, but also develop their own passions and start the path to lifelong learning! I welcome questions and I am always eager to hear my students speak their minds. Let's get started!

About the lesson

I teach all students from pre-school through high school, including those with learning and generalized disabilities. My lessons encourage students to problem solve in a judgement-free zone where they can ask questions, openly express frustrations or roadblocks, and learn concepts and skills in a manner that makes sense to them. I teach new topics from many different angles which allows the student to approach the material from a perspective that matches their unique learning style. As a tutor, my full attention is on my student and I regularly assess their comprehension of material as well as their emotional and mental health to ensure that my tutoring methods are creating an optimal learning environment. I am very much looking forward to working with you!
