About Alecia
As stated before, I have been tutoring for over two years and I have found that the best way to help someone is by first meeting them where they are. Since tutoring, I have come to understand that being open to a new or different teaching style is the best way to collaborate with a student. My flexibility in my approach allows for exactly that. Regardless of your level/proficiency, I am confident I will be able to help in any way I can. :)

I often describe my teaching style as student-lead. That means that I try to let the student lead the session in a way that fosters interest and comprehension in whatever subject we are navigating. I like to set a collaborative approach to difficult subjects in order to help the student feel supported. With positive reinforcement it allows students to establish confidence in themselves and their work.
