About Donita

I am a very bubbly young professional. I have a lot of energy in general and have an outgoing personality and love getting to meet people and knowing their needs.

On my free time, I love working out, running, being with friends and family, keeping up with current events, and reading a good book. Overall, I enjoy helping others as well who need it, and have no issues making room in my schedule for that.

From an academic and professional standpoint, I have a bachelor's in history, with a master's in international relations. Throughout my undergrad years, I made my way by tutoring students (elementary through college level) in English, Political Science, History, and Spanish, plus other courses that the students needed help with from elementary to high school curriculum. Academia has been a passion of mine, and I am seriously looking at returning to college to get a PhD in history and teach at a full-time level. Currently, I am a talent acquisition team lead, and am supporting recruiting supervisors to help their teams with the recruiting side of things with their teams. Everything with me ultimately comes back to being in service to others.

About the lesson

I have been there in classes where certain subjects do not make sense, and sometimes students just need someone there to be patient with them, teach things differently, and to be a comfort to students. I work hard to listen to the needs of the students, I pay attention to them in initial sessions, and I create a plan to get them back on track.

My first sessions are esentially an introdcution between myself and the student as mentioned, and from there, we break down what exactly they are looking for and how we can achieve their goals together. From there, I analyze their strengths and weaknesses, and create lesson plans tailored to their needs. I spend as much time as possible and am incredibly patient with students and give them all the attention that they need.

My lessons are for students of all levels, and that includes elementary level to college level. It can be fine-tuning, general assistance, passing classes, or even getting a refresher course. I am happy to help any and all students achieve the outcomes that they need because I love education and seeing people succeed in the academic world.
