About Fragkiska ( Frances)

My name is Fragkiska, Frances in English.
I grew up in a small island at Cyclades and for 24 years I never left it. I am 25 now and I'm currently living in Australia for almost a year now.
Since a very young age, I remember myself teaching. I used to be in sports, Taekwondo specifically and I used to teach beginner, intermediate and adult classes back home. Then I got into dancing that I also tried to teach. I hanged out with my friends and the ones who were interested in BACHATA wanted me to teach them. We were going to Latin parties and we were dancing together, having the time of our lives.
That is when I realized that this hobby of teaching can actually be a career. So I followed my mother's footsteps who is one of the greatest English tutors I've met and I got inspired by her.
I started teaching English at first and I fell in love with it. There is a magic behind it and I truly love the passion and the dedication that the students have. It doesn't matter if you want to learn something as a hobby or professionally or just to try something new out of curiosity. Knowledge is power and if you have someone that can pass that knowledge beautifully then you'll feel that you've made a good choice.
Besides being a tutor, I am also a student. I am currently learning Korean which I never had any experience before in the subject not even in the hearing but I am loving this journey.
I can actually understand the entire process of starting something that you don't even know if you are gonna like it.
But you'll never know if you don't try. So take the risk and no matter what the subject is, if you like the idea, go on and try it!

About the lesson

My experience as an English Tutor has taught me that it is never to late to learn or start something new. No matter the age, no matter the level of education that you have in some subject, it is always okay to start fresh or continue developing your knowledge.
That is why I also chose to become a tutor of my own native language. Greek is a peculiar but very exciting language to learn and a great way to learn it is by having a Greek Native speaker as a tutor.
My lessons will always be adjusted according to your own preferences and needs. Starting from your age, to the reason you want to learn this language and also the knowledge that you have or have not in this specific subject. As a tutor I want to help my students understand that it is okay to make mistakes and it is alright to take it by their own pace because there is no need to rush. Of course, Greek is a language that has a lot of detail, that is why I believe having a Greek native speaker as a tutor helps a lot, because we speak this language since birth and all those ''overwhelming'' details will become an easy and fun task to do.
I love to have a connection and an understanding with my students and I always want to provide a good enjoyable lesson that step by step will help them reach the goal that they want to achieve.
One thing thing I recommend is having one or two lessons per week. The lessons will be one hour long and I think having one or two days per week will be perfect so that you can also have time to process the new things that you will be learning.
