About Aimee
My name is Aimee Whitaker and I attend the University of Exeter. I want to tutor in order to help with my university life, where I am currently studying English Literature and Creative Writing, with a preliminary in Japanese Studies. For GCSE, I received all 9s,8s and 7s (9s in both English Lit and Lang of course) and was given a trophy for being the top English student. For A Level I was awarded an Oxbridge scholarship to a private school and achieved A*s, with an 100% mark on one of my essays and 97/100 on my coursework.

I regard myself as an approachable person, not at all intimidating! My focus is on the works:
•War of the Worlds
•Poems of the Decade
•Macbeth
•Hamlet
•The Less Deceived (Philip Larkin)
•The Inspector Calls
•Frankenstein
•The Handmaid’s Tale
•The Awakening
•Areas of Romantic Poetry (Shelley, Wordsworth, Browning etc)
My methods of tutoring involve informative and productive discussions, welcoming ideas but also teaching what must be taught to please the examiners. I work by going methodically through a text and sharing my secrets on how to impress. I hope you will consider me!
