About GERALD
I have over 8 years experience working in higher education as both a tutor and teacher. To mention just a few of the projects I've completed: I've guest edited an academic journal; designed a tutoring program designed to help ESL students; given university wide presentations on subjects like literature reviews and other aspects of the dissertating process. I've also taught English at the freshmen and sophomore levels. I love helping people get into their grad school of choice or seeing them get the job they've always wanted. I can help with most tasks that involve writing.

I enjoy working one on one with writers to help them improve and accomplish their goals. I can quickly examine your writing to identify areas for improvement, but also recognize areas where things are already going well. Given my wide knowledge base, I'm also capable of asking questions that help writers generate ideas, even in areas I'm not specialized in; this is something I was trained in as a team member of two University Writing Centers. As the guest editor of an Academic Journal, I performed similar services for professional academics. As a First Year Composition Instructor (i.e. ENG 101), I worked with mostly freshmen and sophomores, but my Writing center experience also includes working with many dissertators from most academic fields. I've also helped with innumerable capstone and other research projects from juniors and seniors. Although I'm most proficient in MLA and APA style, I have experience working with many academic styles. In addition, I also regularly work with resumes, cover letters, and grad school applications. I want to help you achieve your goals, and I hope to do so by offering you world class help at an affordable rate. This may mean quickly helping you proofread a document to meet a deadline, but it may also mean giving you writing skills that will last a lifetime through a teaching approach that emphasizes questions and answers, guiding you through editing your own writing, and challenging you to learn new writing tools as you develop as a writer.
