"Your first session is where we identify the specific techniques that will bridge the gap between your current skill level and the music you love. I utilise the same ear-sharp approach from my 9 years of experience in classical music to help you master reading sheet music and ear training. By breaking down complex improvisation and soloing into manageable steps, we ensure that your development remains consistent and enjoyable.
Whether you are learning lead guitar or complex scales and modes, my background as a vocalist helps me emphasise the musicality behind every note you play. You will receive a monthly recorded review of progress, which allows us to track your development and adjust our focus as needed. My method involves a steady, encouraging pace that respects your unique creative voice."

"Working with kids, teens, and hobbyists is how I spend most of my week, often reflecting on the path that led me here. My training as a voice graduate from Guildhall provided me with a disciplined foundation that I now apply to the guitar. Having taught 393 students throughout my career, I understand how to bridge the gap between theory and actual practice. My 8 years of experience performing as a classical vocalist across the UK inform the way I teach rhythm and melody on the strings.
I enjoy simplifying electric technique and music theory to make the instrument feel accessible to everyone. My style is kind and motivating, ensuring that you feel supported whether we are focusing on blues progressions or chord transitions. It is rewarding to see students find their own sound as we explore songwriting together."
