About Winfred
Playing music professionally started long ago, leading me to earn my BMus in Guitar Performance from Trinity Laban. Teaching guitar for 5 years has allowed me to work with hundreds of students who vary from nervous beginners to those ready for grade exams. My method involves reading tabs, music theory, and songwriting to build a solid foundation.
Maintenance tasks like tuning and care are essential parts of my routine alongside rhythm guitar and blues progressions. Ear training and reading sheet music also feature heavily in how I structure my sessions. I focus on what works best for each student to keep progress steady.

Focusing on clear progress makes the most sense because students learn best when they can measure their own development. I build a structured environment where we cover technical hurdles and musicality in 7 distinct stages during our time together.
My 8.0 rating reflects this commitment to keeping things grounded and logical. We emphasise the importance of consistent practice habits to ensure that the music remains enjoyable and challenging at the same time. You will find that my approach prioritises clarity over speed to ensure long-term retention. I aim to keep the atmosphere calm so that your growth remains steady and sustainable throughout our journey together.
