About Samantha
"Focusing on power chords, electric technique, and songwriting, I try to keep things grounded in the reality of the instrument. After 12 years and 377 students, I see how scales and modes or strumming patterns fit into a wider musical context.
My NUS degree provided a foundation that complements my 10 years of gigging across the Melbourne scenes. I enjoy helping people navigate grade exam prep or complex fingerpicking sessions. Helping you play with precision and joy is my main objective as a teacher."

"Struggling with rhythm often comes from trying to play too fast before the foundation is settled. Most players find that slowing down creates the very speed they crave. I apply my NUS academic background to teach ear training and lead guitar through blues progressions. Whether you are a total beginner or an advanced player, we will focus on the music that matters to you.
