About Chris

When I was 10 my dad taught me the first riff of "Basket Case" by Green Day and I became addicted to the guitar. Music was always playing in my house growing up and it still is to this day. I've been teaching guitar for about 5 years now and I thoroughly enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with other people. I've been in a few different bands, have composed many songs which I release regularly. As much as I love guitar itself, music composition is one of my main passions. One of the best feelings is creating something that has never been there before. I love every step of the process, from the initial creation phase to when it gets shipped out into the world. I'm here to teach it all to you!

About the lesson

Chris teaches all levels from beginner to advanced. He focuses primarily on the music and techniques while incorporating theory in a way that is practical. Chris uses a mixture of song learning, tablature, and PDFs which cover scales, modes, and various exercises. All the while Chris is open to your personal preferences and will take your goals and interests into consideration while formulating the lesson plan. Some of Chris's main influences are Dream Theater, Metallica and Joe Satriani.
