About Dorothea
Hi! I’m Dorothea, a hard of hearing American Sign Language (ASL) tutor with over 30 years of experience. I started signing when I was 5 years old and deepened my knowledge by studying ASL and Deaf Culture at Laney College, the Louisiana School for the Deaf, and Southern University A&M. I’m passionate about helping students of all ages and skill levels learn ASL through personalized, interactive lessons designed to fit your unique goals and pace. Whether you’re a beginner, a family member, or preparing for an interpreting program, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
