About LILY
I have an M.F.A. and a Ph.D., along with an undergraduate degree from Harvard. I tutored and taught college students while earning my Ph.D. and M.F.A. degrees, and as a Ph.D. candidate, I also helped undergraduate and graduate students with statements of purpose for further degrees and academic programs. I taught English at an independent high school in the Bay Area for six years, and I now have my own tutoring business and teach small enrichment courses online.

Hi there! I'm a tutor available to help high schoolers, college students, and adults with writing skills including grammar, organization, and analysis. I have a hands-on, student-centered approach to teaching writing. I also like to model new skills for students as a way of helping them learn. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I'm approachable and have a sense of humor! I like to have fun in my lessons and help you become a better writer at the same time.
