I have a bachelor's in music history. I have taught as low as 3rd grade ESE all the way up to introductory Writing classes in college. I have great passion and great patience. I have also helped with English as a second language and test prep.

My teaching method is direct. I find out where the student is and start there. I have always been frustrated by teachers who start a lesson assuming something is already known. I could be the best teacher in the world and be unsuccessful if I start too high. If I keep drilling the difference between a noun and a verb, but the child doesn't know his letters or how to read, I will never get him to progress.
