About Bethanie
I am a positive and caring individual who is passionate about ensuring that all young people can feel seen and successful.
I know how much struggling at school can affect a student's confidence and have spent my career (and indeed continue to) helping these young people keep examinations in perspective, whilst getting a chance to feel how good it feels to do their best and show what they are capable of.

Having worked as an English teacher, Head of Department, Head of Year and Senior Leader, I am aware of how challenging English as a subject can be and so how important tutoring can be. I am however also confident that there are simple methods that can be taught and used to make an English qualification achievable for all.
I pride myself on being able to form positive and productive relationships with all of the students that I get to teach and can adapt my proven methods to suit their needs.
I have worked with students from Primary School all the way through to A Level and have considerable experience teaching both individual skills such as writing and exam techniques.
I have worked as a GCSE examiner for English Language but have also had experience helping students to pass Functional Skills, English Literature GCSE, English Language and Literature A Level and English Literature A Level. My exam preparations sessions and resources have been implemented throughout the schools in my Trust and I am confident that they can be adapted to any student's needs.
