About Efram
I have extensive experience interacting with learners from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds since I started my instructing career as a swim instructor in Ottawa at the age of 19 years old. Since then, I have instructed kids, adults, EFL, and even worked in the Middle East as a college professor. I pride myself on being approachable, relaxed, understanding and flexible, yet I have high standards and I expect learners to engage thoughtfully in class. I look forward to meeting you!

I employ interactive, multimedia and experiential learning techniques to help learners stay engaged and interested as I believe this solidifies learning through understanding and enjoyment.
A typical lesson starts with an interesting and funny bridge-in, creating a stimulated head space in relation to the subjects to be covered. We will discuss objective and partake in a pre-learning assessment, so the student can get an idea of their baseline understanding and to further focus them on the goals for the lesson. We will then move on to participatory learning, including discussions, games, online exercises, group work and student-led presentations.
I have a lot of experience interacting with students learning how to converse, interact and learn in English, and I have developed a lot of respect for those who have the ambition and desire to learn English in order to further their education and career. I am fun, engaging, respectful and I believe I can connect lessons and life to help learners understand the practical applications of their lessons and to spark interest in continuing education.
I have an adaptable curriculum, but my experience lends itself to health sciences. However, I am also adept at helping learners of all levels gain comfort and confidence in conversational English.
