I would explain the importance of having a clear, concise thesis statement that outlines the argument or purpose of the work. I like to point out the importance of logical flow and coherence in both essays and theses. This means each section builds on the last, and there’s a clear connection between paragraphs and ideas. I would encourage them to write without worrying about making everything perfect at first. The goal is to get the ideas down on paper. During my lessons, students will learn how to plan, write, and revise essays and theses, focusing on structure, argumentation, research, and editing. We will go over the basic structure of an essay, how to write a thesis, cite sources, etc. I am only 19, so I think many students will feel comfortable around me when it comes to talking about what they might be struggling with. These lessons are mainly for high schoolers in the 9th-11th grade
