About Victoria

I am a recent high school graduate going into the psychology route to further my education, I have always been passionate about teaching and helping others so I am looking forward to connecting with you. I was the president of my school's Black Students Association which gave me the chance to learn a lot on professionalism, communication, and leadership. As for my mentoring background I had the great opportunity to grow as a veteran on my cheerleading team by offering extra coaching sessions outside of practice to whoever may need it, and real advice that is applicable to skills you’re conditioning. I love to teach others, and I hope that I can help you reach your goals.

About the lesson

Throughout all of school English has been one of my favorite subjects and I was so lucky to have received support from a few wonderful teachers over the years. However I’ve noticed a pattern of telling students to “just read” and that is how they will sharpen their skills, that statement does hold some truth but it is not the best way to apply yourself. I want to be able to give resources to people without the feeling of skimming over information, I want whoever I am teaching to feel fully immersed, gain critical thinking skills and to be eager to learn something new every day, not only in the English subject but to apply what they have learned to all situations life may have in store for them.

My lessons will differ to each level that the student is at, their goals and concerns so everything will be uniquely curated to my students as learning is not a one size fits all process. Once I get to know you and have those detailed figured out, I will create a personal plan based on the duration of our lessons in order to get you to where you want to be.
