About Serena
Hi! I'm Serena, a passionate tutor with experience teaching school students in English, Science, and French. I’ve taught children both through private tutoring and during my time volunteering at an educational NGO, where I helped underprivileged kids build strong foundations in language and science. I focus on clear explanations, engaging lessons, and creating a space where students feel confident to ask questions and grow. As a passionate and patient tutor, my goal is to make learning clear, interactive, and confidence-boosting for each student. I believe in teaching concepts deeply rather than rushing through topics, so students not only score well but also genuinely enjoy the subject.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
I use visual aids, real-life examples, and simple analogies to explain even complex topics—especially in Science and French grammar.
Interactive activities, such as quizzes, discussions, and storytelling (for English), keep students engaged.
My French sessions often include basic conversational practice, vocabulary games, and cultural insights to make the language come alive.
Class Structure
5 mins: Quick revision or warm-up
30–40 mins: Core lesson with explanations and examples
10–15 mins: Doubt clearing, exercises, or recap
I also provide occasional worksheets and mini-assignments for practice and feedback.
