Being aligned with the constructivism theory as a tutor means I have to act like a scaffold for the students. Learners shouldn't be regarded as empty vessels; they need to be supported.
In addition, English is not our first language; hence, as a tutor, I am not judgmental of how learners pronounce terms or construct sentences. What is important is teaching them to build what they already posses so that they go to the next stage. Being judgmental leads to passivity and less cooperation.
