About Rachel
Imagine your fingers finally moving across the fretboard without hesitation or unnecessary tension. I prioritize rhythm guitar and strumming patterns because they form the foundation of every great song. Beginners and kids often benefit from my free trial session to assess starting levels.
We will dissect electric technique, improvisation, soloing, and the art of songwriting. My 13 years of experience means I have seen every common hurdle a player faces. You can expect a hands-on approach where we focus on what makes your playing unique.
I avoid dry theory unless it directly solves a problem in your sound. We make sure the music stays fun while you build real discipline. My goal is to keep you playing for the long haul.

Working with intermediate learners and self taught players often starts right in the middle of a complex chord transition. Having taught 207 students, I understand the frustration of plateauing after years of playing. My own journey involves earning a BM Guitar degree and spending 11 years gigging throughout the Montreal folk scene.
I find that structure is the secret ingredient for hobbyists who feel stuck. It keeps the energy high and the progress measurable. Music has been my life for 13 years, and I enjoy sharing that history.
