About Ava
I’m a current university student at FSU (ranked for education as No. 14 among all public and private universities and No. 1 among Florida’s public universities) studying English Education. Back in high school, I got a 5 on AP Lang. Now I’m taking all kinds of literature classes in college. Still, I think AP Lang was the most beneficial to my growth as a reader, writer and learner. Fun facts: -I also love AP Psych! -I’m both an artist and a musician -I’m Master in League of Legends (haha) -My favorite book is The Lover by Duras

Honestly, English isn’t just about perfect spelling or reading a stack of books - it’s about perspective, critical thinking, and learning how to understand and shape the world through language. As your tutor, I can help you learn how to: -Write strong rhetorical analyses by understanding how authors use language to persuade -Analyze and engage with multiple perspectives (a key skill in both academic and real-world discussions!) -Proofread and edit your writing for clarity, grammar, and flow, ensuring your ideas are communicated clearly -Close-read complex texts, understanding deeper meanings and authorial intent -Research -And, of course, *how* to learn The ability to think critically and communicate confidently is used in everyday life - that’s why English is so important.
