About Angel

I am a high achieving A Level student studying Mathematics, Politics, and Economics, with a strong academic background and excellent GCSE results. I offer GCSE Maths and English tuition with a clear focus on understanding, confidence, and exam success.

Having recently completed my GCSEs, I have a strong understanding of the current specifications and exam expectations. This allows me to explain concepts clearly, anticipate common mistakes, and teach effective revision and exam techniques that work.

I am organised, patient, and reliable, and I take pride in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I plan lessons carefully, track progress, and adapt my teaching to suit each student’s needs and learning style.

My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build confidence and independence in their learning.

About the lesson

My teaching approach

My lessons are structured, supportive, and focused on helping students gain confidence as well as improve results. I start by identifying each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and exam requirements, then tailor lessons to suit their learning style and goals.

For Maths, I focus on building strong foundations, step by step problem solving, and regular exam style practice. For English, I emphasise clear structure, strong analysis, and effective exam technique, helping students express ideas confidently and accurately.

I regularly use past paper questions, guided practice, and active recall to reinforce understanding. Homework and short recap tasks are used where helpful to consolidate learning.

Lesson structure and length

Typical lessons last 60 minutes. Each session includes a recap of previous work, focused teaching on one or two key topics, and exam focused practice with feedback.

My experience and qualifications

I am a high achieving A Level student currently studying Mathematics, Politics, and Economics. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I have a strong understanding of the current syllabus and what examiners are looking for. I bring a relatable, patient, and organised approach to tutoring.

Who my lessons are for

My lessons are suitable for GCSE students of all abilities, including those who need extra support and those aiming for top grades. I work with students typically aged 14 to 16 and adapt lessons to both foundation and higher tiers.
