About Jyothika
Hi, I'm Jyothika, a second-year Bachelor of Cybersecurity student at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) with consistently strong academic results, including High Distinctions across my subjects. As someone who has recently learned many of these concepts myself, I understand the challenges students face when starting their coding journey and know how to explain difficult topics in a simple, relatable way.
I believe the best way to learn programming is by understanding *why* the code works, not just memorizing solutions. My lessons are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence through hands-on practice. I tailor every lesson to the student's learning style, whether they need help catching up in class, preparing for exams, completing assignments, or getting ahead.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes and includes concept explanations, guided coding exercises, problem-solving practice, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I strive to create a supportive and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, because that's an important part of learning to code.
I teach beginner Python, Java, HTML, CSS, programming fundamentals, and introductory cybersecurity concepts. My lessons are suitable for high school students, complete beginners, and first-year university students looking for extra support with programming or computer science subjects.
Outside of tutoring, I'm passionate about technology, cybersecurity, and continuous learning. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to help them develop the confidence and problem-solving skills that will benefit them throughout their studies and future careers.

My lessons are designed to make coding feel simple, practical, and enjoyable. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style based on your current skill level, goals, and learning pace. Instead of focusing on memorizing code, I focus on helping students understand the logic and problem-solving skills behind programming. You will learn how to approach problems, write cleaner code, identify mistakes, and develop the confidence to solve challenges independently.
