About Aidan
Hello, my name is Aidan. I am a current hip-hop dance choreographer and dancer. As a male with El Salvadorian and Torres Strait Islander heritage, I aim to share, teach, and showcase the creativity of dance and its inclusivity. Furthermore, my mission is to help improve dancers/students dance ability to the best they can. To me, dance is a creative tool to express and/or release emotions, it can be fun, artistic, and/or physically beneficial. Despite a dancers/students purpose in dance, my goal is to support, teach, and motivate dancers/students to my optimal ability, while ensuring a positive environment.

I am a high school graduate with 7 years of experience in Dance. I am currently a hip-hop dance teacher under casual employment at St Peter Claver College, Riverview. Within high school, I acted as dance captain twice, in middle years (year 7 to 9) and senior years (year 10 to 12). In 2019, I performed in Harvest Rain Theatre Company's junior show, High School Musical.
I predominantly focus choreographing and teaching in hip-hop dance. In each lesson, I ensure dancers and students are welcomed in a supporting, fun, and comfortable environment through a positive and motivating attitude. Prior to learning choreography, I conduct warm-ups and stretch drills to reduce risk of injury, as well as assuring dancers/students are energized and prepared before learning. I teach at various paces- depending on the dancers/students ability level - to ensure the dancers/students understand each movement and technique. It is of utmost importance that the dancers/students feel comfortable, confident, and having fun when learning and/or dancing. Moreover, each lesson is dedicated to improving the dancers/students dance ability, fitness, social-emotional skills, and stronger interpersonal bonds.
The duration of each lesson adheres to the organisation/clients selected time. My lessons are aimed for all-ages and any dance ability level.
