About Alvin
My parents believed in a strong base in mathematics as it created more opportunities to think critically and develop logic. I studied Precalculus in 9th grade, took AP Statistics, AP Calculus BC, and AP Calculus AB, and received all 5s.

I base my tutoring off of textbooks, Art of Problem Solving, and Khan Academy. As a younger tutor it will be easier for me to tutor students similar to my age level as these lessons are for middle to high school students interested in strengthening their mathematics and logical thinking skills.
A typical lesson might work as follows:
1. 1-3 concepts within a unit from a textbook with example problems.
2. Working through problems involving said concepts.
3. Assigning additional supplementary videos on Khan Academy and giving homework.
