About Julia
I am a high school senior who has been working with kids in summers school from grades K-6 as a teaching assistant. I have taught reading, writing, spelling, and grammar in classes of 15 students for the past five summers.

My teaching method is characterized by patience and empathy. Learning to read and write can be a difficult and frustrating experience for many kids, and it is my goal to encourage and support them. It is important that kids can feel this encouragement and support because it makes them want to learn and want to keep trying.
