About Alisha

I have a deep passion for English, as it allows me to articulate my ideas and perspectives with clarity, creativity, and precision. I especially enjoy persuasive writing, essay writing, and analyzing texts, as these skills let me explore ideas deeply and communicate them effectively. I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge, support students in building confidence, and guide them to think critically and express themselves with clarity. As a high-achieving student across all subjects, I combine strong academic knowledge with practical experience in helping peers and younger students improve their skills and achieve higher grades. My lessons are interactive, personalized, and carefully structured, designed to engage students, nurture their curiosity, and empower them to reach their full potential. Outside of tutoring, I am always seeking ways to expand my understanding of language and literature, which allows me to bring fresh perspectives and enthusiasm into every lesson.

About the lesson

As a high school student who excels in all areas of my learning, my teaching approach is interactive, personalized and built on clear, step-by-step guidance. The objective for my lessons will not only be to help students excel academically, but encourage and empower them to become confident in their learning journey. Each session will be tailored based off the student's individual pace and preferred learning style. I regularly help classmates and younger students with English, guiding them through essay writing, general assignments and comprehension. Many of the students I have supported achieved higher grades, demonstrating the effectiveness of my personalized and clear teaching approach. I have also have prior experience tutoring younger students with reading, focusing on building their confidence with fluency and vocabulary. Dependent on the person, a typical lesson will range from 45 minutes to an hour but am flexible if necessary. My lessons are designed for younger students in year 9 and below who want to boost and achieve higher grades and confidence within English.
