About IMOGEN

A lifelong love of literature, film, and television first led me into the media industry, before moving into creative education and outreach inspired me to retrain as a teacher. Since then, I’ve loved every minute of working with young people, whether in the classroom, through cultural education projects, or one-to-one tutoring.

I’ll be honest—I didn’t always love school myself. That’s why I’m so passionate about making sure the students I work with feel confident, engaged, and challenged in a positive way. I believe learning should feel empowering and accessible, and I work hard to build strong relationships that put students at ease while also helping them achieve their goals.

I know that everyone learns differently, so my lessons are always highly differentiated and tailored to individual needs. Whether you thrive on structured guidance, creative approaches, or lots of practice and feedback, I’ll adapt to find what works best for you.

In recent years, I’ve also gained valuable experience as an examiner, which means I have a clear understanding of what exam boards are looking for and how to prepare effectively. Combined with over a decade of teaching and tutoring experience, this makes me well-equipped to support you through exams, coursework, and beyond.

About the lesson

Hello! I’m Imogen, an experienced teacher and tutor with over a decade of classroom experience in English, Media, Film, and Sociology. I’ve worked across secondary schools, sixth form colleges, and with national creative education charities, helping hundreds of students gain confidence, improve their skills, and achieve excellent results.
