About Summer
My name is Summer. When I was 15, I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia. I always loved English, but never thought it could be a possible strength of mine. In my undergraduate studies, I majored in English and graduated with honors from Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut in 2022. For three years of my college career, I was a part of the Allen K. Smith Center for Writing and Rhetoric. At this center, I worked with college and graduate-level students to address concerns or questions about any writing-based assignment for any subject. I received in-depth training through Trinity College to learn how to use various tutoring techniques and approaches designed for supporting those with learning disabilities. At this center, I worked with college and graduate-level students in any writing-based assignment for any subject. If you are looking for a tutor who has firsthand experience with writing with language disabilities, I am a great fit for you or your child.

Do you have great ideas for essays or papers but have no clue where to start? Don’t worry, that is totally normal! Together, we will work to address academic assignments (not limited to English class) to better improve writing comprehension and composition. In our sessions, we will learn how to structure and design an individual writing process special for YOUR needs to work through possible learning differences and come together to build your confidence in the class setting.
