I have known Robert for many years and he’s always been an inspiration to me - as an actor and as a person.
I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with him and learn from him. He’s a tremendously generous person which makes him an exceptional acting coach who is intuitive and happy to share his experience and talent with others. The way he approaches each piece of script is very intricate, detailed, amazing to watch. It’s hard work but I’ve grown so much as an actor and feel comfortable reaching out with any scene that comes across from my agent. No script / scene / part is too small. The dedication and passion Robert approaches each of them is the same regardless.

I first met Robert when I was performing in my first professional acting role - Men Should Weep at The National Theatre, London.

Robert was playing the male lead and the father in the play and he was magnetic. I was lucky enough to share a rehearsal room with him for several months and I learned from him every day. He was approachable, open and his dedication to his craft was a consistent source of inspiration, not just in the rehearsal room but outside it, in life too.

Robert is one of the first people I will turn to when I have a question or a discovery in the world of acting. He will always give me the time to walk and talk through whatever my query may be, not only using his own experience to guide me, but allowing me to find my own answers through a kind and patient nature. He is a terrific mentor and friend who I will continue to turn to for advice; whether it's to work on my acting technique, or perhaps I'm struggling to work on a piece of text, I know he will help find myself in the work.

I often reach out to Robert when I have to work on something leading up to an audition, or to discuss and debrief after an audition - how I felt it went, what could've went better or if I feel there was anything I'd like to do differently next time. He always helps me see the situation for what it is, therefore allowing me to present the best version of myself in each situation.

I think he would be fantastic teacher, friend and mentor as that's exactly what he is to me.
