About Shruti

My name is Shruti, and I’ve been working with children for over four years. I’m a naturally calm and patient person, and I genuinely enjoy being around kids. I think a big reason I connect with them so well is because I’m still a bit of a child at heart. I understand their energy, their humor, and the way they see the world, and it helps me build strong, comfortable relationships with them very quickly.

Sport has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been involved in different sports for over a decade, and I’m also a martial arts instructor. Martial arts has taught me discipline, focus, and patience, and those qualities really shape the way I teach. I also absolutely love animals and have a soft spot for pets, which is just part of who I am.

I chose to teach because I find so much joy in helping children learn and grow. There’s something really special about seeing a child understand something new and feel proud of themselves. Every child learns differently, and I love taking the time to figure out what works best for them. Being part of their progress, even in the smallest moments, is incredibly rewarding for me and is the reason I continue to teach with so much care.

About the lesson

My teaching style is flexible and completely tailored to each child. I spend time observing their strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences, then adjust my lessons to suit their needs. This might include:
- Breaking concepts into simple, manageable steps
- Using visual aids, examples, and interactive activities
- Encouraging questions and building confidence through positive reinforcement
- Adjusting the pace depending on how the student learns best
My goal is always to create a supportive, engaging environment where children feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn.

A standard lesson runs for one hour, but I’m very flexible. If a student needs more time or benefits from shorter or longer sessions, I’m happy to adjust

I have over four years of experience teaching children, particularly in early primary and upper primary levels. Over this time, I’ve worked with a wide range of learners and have developed strong skills in adapting lessons to different personalities, abilities, and learning styles.

My tutoring is mainly designed for younger children aged 5–11. This includes:
- Early learners who need foundational support
- Primary school students who want to strengthen their skills
- Children who benefit from personalised, one‑on‑one attention
I aim to make learning enjoyable, confidence‑building, and suited to each child’s unique way of understanding the world.
