About Adeline
14 year old who gets good grades in school, specifically in English. Available 4-6pm on weekdays and flexible time on weekends. First time tutor with experience teaching children of different age groups and intellectual needs through family, friends, and programs. Tailored and flexible lessons led by a patient and informed tutor. Will start with a free consultation to get to know the student, and personally design a schedule fitting the child’s needs and family’s input. Having collaborative meetings are very important to me as I want to insure your child is getting the most out of this experience.
A typical 1 1/2 hour meeting would look something like this (This will be specifically tailored to each individual, not all sessions will be the same. For example, child may not have homework or may have something from school they specifically want to work on)
~10 minutes ask child how they’ve been doing with school
~5 minutes answering questions
~15 minutes homework help
~30 minutes doing worksheets
~20 minutes playing relevant learning game
~10 minutes closing and answering any last minute questions. Ask Child if they have anything they want to specifically work on in the next meeting. Do fun fact of the day.
