About Makayla

I am currently at the top of my program at McMaster University and have consistently maintained top grades throughout my schooling. Even with my achievements, I am no stranger to feeling overwhelmed and confused when faced with assignments and content. Writing can be challenging and, at many times, tedious, but I want to do my very best to help you succeed. I have had a strong desire to become a teacher for many years and hope to make that dream come true when I finish my undergraduate degree. Our sessions together will not only enhance my teaching skills but also provide valuable learning experiences for both of us. You will learn from me just as I will learn from you!

About the lesson

MY TEACHING METHODOLOGY:
As a tutor and future teacher, I always try to teach with care and understanding. I aim to create a warm, supportive space where students feel comfortable to ask questions, work through material, and grow at their own pace. Clear explanations, patience, and connection are at the heart of how I teach! Let's work through this together!

LESSONS:
For sessions, I'll meet you where you're at and we'll engage in open conversations, discussing language nuances, writing techniques, and any specific hurdles you face. The pace of our sessions will be flexible, allowing for relaxed exploration of the material and lots of time for questions.

FOR STUDENTS:
I am happy to work with students ranging from elementary to high school level. I am open to assist with any classes involving essays, writing assignments, grammar, history, and English literature.
