About Iman

I have over four years of experience teaching and supporting students across GCSE and A-Level subjects, including English, French, Spanish and History. Throughout this time, I have worked with students of different abilities and learning styles, helping them improve academically while also building their confidence and motivation.

I decided to become a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students reach their potential and discover confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult. I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on creating lessons that are supportive, engaging and personalised to each individual’s goals. Seeing students grow in confidence, improve their grades and develop a genuine understanding of their subjects is the most rewarding part of teaching for me.

As someone who is still actively studying in an academic environment, I also understand the pressures students face today and can offer relatable, up-to-date guidance on revision techniques, exam preparation and effective study habits.

About the lesson

My lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. Whether a student is preparing for entrance exams, aiming to improve school performance or working towards top GCSE or A-Level grades, I create structured lessons that focus on both subject knowledge and exam technique. I help students develop strong analytical skills, clear essay structures and the confidence to express their ideas effectively.

A typical lesson may include close analysis of texts, essay planning, comprehension exercises, vocabulary development and exam-style practice questions. I also provide personalised feedback and revision strategies to help students continue improving outside lessons.

Having completed English Literature at A-Level myself, I understand the demands of the subject and the skills needed to succeed. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and interactive, creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

Lessons are suitable for students preparing for 11+ exams, KS3 English, GCSE English Language and Literature, and A-Level English Literature.
