About Boris
I really enjoy working with people of all ages and getting to know them personality. Breaking large concepts down into smaller and more digestible pieces of information as well as explaining complicated techniques that have helped me in my academic career can be a really rewarding experience. Most of all I believe in taking a patient and persistent approach with a student, where they feel comfortable asking questions and failing to understand but where their intellectual curiosity and ambition to think for themselves comes through the most.

I am comfortable teaching people of all ages up to the undergraduate entry point into university. I usually like to take a flexible and personalised approach to the student, addressing their needs with attention and care. Notes will be taken both by me and the student during the lesson and these are usually collected in a file at the end and sent to the student for future revision purposes. My lessons will usually run for an hour, although I am happy to extend this time if needed. In the past, I have had students between the ages of 6 and 17 which has allowed me to get much experience teaching anything between learning to read and count to making successful university applications. My specialty is working with students who want to explore their creative writing skills or who are focusing on upcoming exams for schools or for university entrance.
