History is fun! My passion for history allows me to teach social studies, English, philosophy and humanities in an engaging, fascinating and fun way! Whether you need help with homework/assignments, or if you need to understand your course content better, I would be glad and excited to help! My teaching techniques involve being informative, descriptive, meticulous and engaging to immerse ourselves into the historical events being discussed. Asking questions like Why did Julius Caesar decide to invade Gaul? Why did Roman senators decide to assassinate Julius Caesar despite his military successes? Analyzing the perspectives of the historical figures and determining why a particular event happened is paramount. A typical lesson plan includes being versatile with the student's course content, I will prepare a lesson plan based on the student's textbook/class content. This lesson will be planned with the intent of explaining why these historical events occurred. I truly believe a student must understand and grasp a particular historical event, rather than just "memorizing" it. There are too many details and nuances in history to memorize everything, this is why I believe understanding/grasping is ideal. My lessons are for elementary, high school and college students. I am also well-traveled, in June and July of 2023, I visited Rome, Napoli, Ischia, Brindisi in Italy, and Athens, Nafpaktos, Patras, Thermos and Igoumenitsa in Greece. I have extensive course content and pictures on the many historical monuments and castles that I visited and learned about during this memorable and unforgettable trip! Puisque je parle Français aussi, je peux enseigner des cours en Français si c'est plus facile pour vous.
