About Nell

The great joy I find in learning has fed me through out my life. It has led me to working in various fields- film sets, climate change, art, publishing.

I worked as a professional actress throughout my education, have exhibited paintings in the Royal Academy Summer A-Level Exhibition, graduated from UCL in History this summer, and now continue to work in film as well as for the climate change group UKYCC.

To involve myself in the transferral of knowledge is one of the greatest joys in my life. I love to learn, and I love to help other people find beauty in learning.

About the lesson

My background is an unusual mixture of film sets and grammar schools, and as a result I value a variation of different types of learning- both academic and more practical methods are crucial to gaining a full grasp of any subject.
I expect students to contribute fully in my lessons, which consist of a structured back and fourth between the pupil and myself.
The methodology at the heart of all my lessons is to treat the student as an equal, cultivating an environment of open discourse.

The length of my lessons are tailored to the needs of the student, but typically consist of 1-2 hours of learning at a time.

Qualifications:

- BA History from UCL
- Distinction in Fine Art foundation degree at UCA
- A*A*A A - Fine Art, History, Geography, French A Levels
- Film set experience since the age of 11.

I tutor the above subjects up to and including A level standard.

Currently, I am working as a producer and a 1st AD in film. I am also a member of the UKYCC climate change action group, and will be attending COP 27 in November.
